Ahhh…love ‘em or hate ‘em, Getta’s are rare – especially a Getta Wagon.
During a frantic last minute Christmas shopping visit I happened to stumble across this:

The quality of the photo isn’t great, but you can tell it’s a Getta wagon – and a very well done one at that. The guys here at Volksbloggin tell me it’s Canyon Red, a pretty rare color (in the U.S. anyway). I just had to share it.

wow, I had no idea you could even get one here.
Yeah, what they most likely did (I don’t know for sure) is swapped out their Jetta front end for an R32 frontend. They’re pretty much plug-n-play. Then repainted those panels the Canyon Red.
oh yeah, didn’t even notice that front bumper is an R32.
A real Golf wagon is different than a Jetta wagon though, beyond just the front end.
Right on. Dig your site there Justin. The ruler is a nice touch.
thanks Mrad :)
Ha, how about this one…
Yeah, that’s a really nice “JTI”, or “JOLF”. :D
Over here they were actually sold by VW. The Golf Variant it’s called. Just google it and you’ll find loads
;)
The color is actually Spice red. The car was a Jetta wagon. The only difference between the Golf wagon offered in Europe and the Jetta wagon is the front end. The front bumper pictured is an OEM R32 front bumper. Also the headlights are fron the 20th Anniversary edition GTI.
Also the front grills have been put on as of last week.
@ andy: Ah…thanks for the info – but I don’t think the front grills are new…this pic is over two years old. :)
well andy is the owner of that car so he is probably speaking the truth…:)
When that picture was taken the grills in the bumper weren’t there. Now they are. I can get some better pictures of the whole thing if you like.
The car is actually my wife’s daily driver.
