My suggestions for some serious spring & summer driving tunage.
It’s spring! Time to roll down the windows, open the top, drive way too fast and crank the Monsoon system up wayyyy too loud. Here’s my top ten (in no particular order) driving tunes that, for one reason or another, remind me of spring and summer.
“Boys of Summer” – Don Henley and/or the Ataris
“Gone Away” – The Offspring
“In The Air Tonight” – Phil Collins
“The Warmth” – Incubus
“Learning to Fly” – Pink Floyd
“Paranoid Android” – Radiohead
“E-Pro” – Beck
“My Own Summer” – Deftones
“Electric Demons in Love” – Electric Six (who ROCKED in concert)
“Turn the Page” – Bob Seger and/or Metallica
You got anything to add or disagree?

I’m more of an album person – I have whole albums that I will only listen to seasonally.
I’m just throwin this out there, but all of Guero (from Beck) reminds me of spring/summer.
You cant go wrong with Meddle from Pink Floyd if you have some nighttime drivin’ ahead of you.
Me personally – I’ve been all over the place lately:
- Some Girls from the Stones
- Coda from the Zep
- Sand in the Vasoline – Best of from the Talking Heads
- Who’s Next from…. the Who
- Odditorium or Warlords of Mars from Dandy Warhols
- The Mollusk from Ween
Among others…
Good call Timmau – it depends on what kind of commute you generally have. Albums are swell for drivers like me who have a 35 minute commute to work and cover alot of territory.
I’d have to throw down Electric Six’s “Fire” and Floyd’s “Division Bell” as two of my spring/summer albums that I can listen to wall to wall.
