You can too, even cheaper (installation wise anyway) than biodiesel.
This dude is rockin’ faces coast to coast with his liquid propane powered VW Minibus! For $116 he’s used some 40 year old technology and reaped the benefits of a 15% reduction in fuel costs and a 70% reduction in toxic emissions. He provides a list of equipment needed as well as a high level set of installation instructions. This works similar to the greasecar, where the hardware for LP is installed in addition to your existing fuel system, making it possible to switch back and forth between LP and gas.
Pretty groovy. Yet another weapon in the alternative fuel arsenal!

Is that a propane tank mounted on the roof??? Scary!
MiniBus? You might as well call it a van (any bus owner knows what I mean) ;)
Haha – yeah, I can’t say I ever really understood the MiniBus thing. Oh well.
I have 1972 toyota land cruiser powered by propane for 15 years runs great at 10000 oil change oil looks like I just put it in I only change it becouse heat lowers the vesocite .Gas cost 3.40a gal. the reg in So.Cal. propane cost 2.20 to 2.65a gal
Wow – that’s pretty sweet. I’d be grinnin’ these days if I where you!
