Applause for Northland Vdub

We here at VB keep careful track of our trips to the dealer. Buggy just went on her first trip to the dealer, and we give Northland VW of Cincinnati a thumbs up.
Buggy took her first trip to the dealer to get a few “bugs” worked out (lousy pun intended). I had some oddball issues with the bug that I might be inclined to post in the Rants section, cause these things should never have happened to a car with 7K miles on it! The fixes included:
- Fixing the belly pan on the undercarriage. Note to self: don’t run over cardboard in the road (I didn’t do it on purpose! I couldn’t swerve to avoid it!)
- Fixing the center console which wasn’t closing properly.
- Fixing the backseat 12V outlet that wouldn’t close properly
- Fixing the windshield wiper, as a piece of it few off during a rainstorm
- I also asked if they might be so kind to remove the “branding” that the dealer left on the trunk when I purchased the car
The folks at Northland were extremely courteous and helpful. All was covered under my warranty, except the belly pan, which they removed for me so it would no longer drag on the ground. The advisor at Northland, Jerry, called me before he did anything that they would have to charge me for. I took her in in the AM and picked her up after work, both of which were quick in-and-out. So, applause to the service center at Northland VW in Cincinnati.

Most of those issues sound pretty normal to me ;)

My outlet cover just broke off completely, you should be happy to have one.

I hate that stuff. They usually sneak it on the car after you’ve bought it, unless you tell them explicitly not to put it on in the first place.
