Northgate VW Service Part 1

Today I had my wife’s Jetta in for a check engine light. At 21,000 mi. of course it’s warrantied.

It turned out to be a faulty ground wire to one of the coil packs, which in turn caused a misfire in cylinder 1. So they replaced the wire and various other related parts, all under warranty. They also noted on my invoice that they performed TSB Group 1. I’ll have to find out what that is, but cool that they went ahead and performed it.

My experience beginning to end with Northgate VW has been outstanding. Friendly and detail-oriented customer service, quick turnaround time and a comfortable atmosphere made it a winner. I actually purchased my GTI from Northgate which was a good experience as well.

Speaking of my GTI, that’s part 2 of Northgate VW Service: replacing the coolant temp sensor on my VR6. Two check engine lights in one week. Thank goodness they’re both warrantied.

  2. I used to work at Northgate and everyone in their service department was always very professional. (Sales as well).

Having been in the industry many years, this was one of the most upstanding stores I’ve worked at. (As is the current one I work for) but I owe a lot of my positive impressions of the car industry to Northgate. Great people there.
