You Fit That in That Car?!

My wife and I recently bought our first house and we’re in the process of moving and buying all the stuff we need since we’re coming from an apartment. So we’re at Home Depot last night picking up a lawn mower and other lawn care type stuffs.

First off, hats off to the Home Depot off of Fields Ertel. Don did an outstanding job helping us out with everything. So we checkout and I pull the ol’ GTI around to the front to get ready to load everything.

As I pull up, Don mentions that he’s not sure we’ll be able to fit everything: lawnmower (out of the box), two rakes, gas can, oil, lawn bags. Until I open up the hatch and begin putting the seats down. He’s like, “Wow, didn’t think we’d have that much room!” while scratching his head.

Then as we’re placing everything into the ride, a lady pulls up in one of those new HHR’s and asks if we lived nearby. She was offering to help us take everything back to the house. I’m impressed!! First off, because someone actually was nice enough to stop and offer such a thing. But also because she must have thought we wouldn’t be able to fit everything because of the small car. hehehe

And it doesn’t end there. Just as we finish up, a couple of older gentlemen, maybe in their 60′s and 70′s, walk by us into the store. As they’re passing the GTI, one of them says “I’ll be darned, they fit a lawn mower in that thing.” :D
