New VW Concept Neeza for China Market

A pretty sick station wagon concept could hit the streets of China soon. Would it come here eventually? I think most likely not, but who knows?
The Neeza is an independent research project led by the folks at Shanghai VW and is slated to be shown at the Beijing International Auto Exhibition this month. The name Neeza, derived from Li-Nezha, is a god from Chinese mythology, and seemingly a rambunctious little guy.
Its lines are very reminiscent of the new Sc*IROC*co concept that debuted a little while back with the high-sweeping, pointed head and taillights and the geometric exhaust tips.
Whaddya think?

Not bad…pretty slick design for a wagon. Just one question, though: Why’s the back seat curved like that? It’ll give more legroom to whoever sits behind the driver, but the passenger to his/her right gets less!
I do like the design, though. I wish VW would offer more such cars to us buyers here in the U.S., instead of dog-ugly vehicles like the EuroVan.
