Peter Hartz, the German labor reformer on trial for corruption at Volkswagen, could face sentencing on Thursday, Jan. 25, if he testifies in full, a court spokesman said today. The architect of Germany’s biggest post-war labor reforms and former Volkswagen personnel director admitted in court last week to his role in a bribery scandal that included payoffs to labor leaders to secure support for management.
