I posted this at VWVortex, one said to check the wires...its still open...

The dealership just changed the battery in my '02 Passat Key FOB because it was weak. Needless to say. No change. I have seen simmilar discussions on this site. Some got really close to answering my question but did not offer the solution.
My wife is using the good one, I am stuck with the weak one.

Has anybody had simmilar experience?

I do not want to buy a new one, but....

Haven't had any problems with my clicker, but I did recently break the driver's door latch on my Passat. It froze in the open position. Full story:
