I don’t know how far you can trust the likes of Intellichoice or its similar rivals, Consumer Reports, etc. Has Volkswagen possibly weeded out all the problems of the first gen Touareg?
Intellichoice ranked the Touareg TDI “Best retained value”, which also surprises me given the documented problems they’ve had. But hey, don’t look a gift horse in the mouth. Read more at Intellichoice’s site.
