Volkswagen of America, Inc. announced today that the Wolfsburg Edition Passat is now available at dealers. Volkswagen will produce approximately 6,000 of these special edition models. Throughout its history, Volkswagen has offered special edition models for a variety of reasons. At times they were offered to celebrate a milestone or special event, such as the Bicentennial Beetle that commemorated our country’s 200th birthday. At other times they were offered to further accent a specific model’s image, such as the currently available Fahrenheit GTI. More often, special edition models have been offered to deliver an even greater value to the customer—something Volkswagen has consistently achieved with the Wolfsburg Editions. Via media.vw.com

  1. Glad to see VW is continuing to churn out cars that people will love to drive. I really love what they’ve done with the newest version of the Passat and I can imagine that the Wolfsburg trim only accentuates what they have done thus far.
