I agree that the Jetta wagon pictured above is UGLY, but I found this other picture and found it appealing. Almost looks like an Audi wagon:

If the TDI engine meets or exceeds the mpg’s of the hybrids that are out there, I will definitely consider purchasing. My lease is is up on my hybrid civic in a half year. I have a baby arriving in the next month. Looking around for the breakthrough green machine that is affordable. Might end up being another hybrid civic.

That’s freakin’ terrible. How can they possibly be excited about THAT?! I’m with ya man – I’m a big wagon fan (generally speaking) but the ‘dub models ain’t cuttin’ the mustard. I’m really disappointed by this.

I guess this is just the bottom of a hill on the roller coaster that is VW.
