Volkswagen of America Inc. wants to return to premium pricing – but not to the high levels it failed to sustain in the United States. Adrian Hallmark, the company’s executive vice president, says VW wants to be 5 to 10 percent “over Toyota.” But he says that goal is likely to take several years. “In the volume segments where there is high competition, it’s 5 percent,” Hallmark says. “In niches where there is less competition, it can be 10 percent. But it can’t be 25 percent.” Via autoweek.com
