Volksport 3 Coming June 10, 2007!

There are car shows, then there are CAR SHOWS. This one falls squarely in the latter. Folks, get ready for Volksport 3!

Volksport, founded in 1998, is the Midwest’s largest formal Volkswagen club with members who actively participate in national auto shows, SCCA events, and Volksport’s very own internationally recognized show.

Membership in Volksport, costing only $20.00 annually, is well worth its weight in gold providing discounts on parts from participating shops, driver’s training, meetings and demonstrations, and much more.

This year’s show, Volksport 3, will take place in Minneapolis, Minnesota this June 10, 2007, with more events being tentatively planned for June 8th & 9th. Car Entrance fees are $15.00 for preregistration, and $20.00 at the door, while spectators get in for free. Hotel accommodations for attendees are currently being worked out, and will be announced very shortly.

The meat of the show will be cash prizes awarded for winners of the various classes, with one lucky winner walking away with $1,000.00!

The following classes will be awarded $200.00 for first place, $75.00 for second, and $25.00 for third:

MkI Rabbit/GTI/Jetta
MkII Golf/GTI
MkII Jetta
MkIII Golf/GTI
MkIII Jetta
MkIV Golf/GTI
MkIV Jetta
MkV Golf/GTI
MkV Jetta

The following classes will be awarded $100.00 for first place, $25.00 for second, and $25.00 for third:

New Beetle
Passat
Scirocco
Corrado
Cabriolet/Eos
Female Owner
Open VWAG*
Audi B5
Audi B6 & B7
Audi Open**

*VWAG - refers to any car manufactured by Volkswagen Aktiengesellschaft . This includes Porsche, Skoda, Seat, Lamborghin, Bentley, and Bugatti
**Audi Open- this class is for all other Audi types which do not fit in the B5, B6 & B7 classes.
A trophy will be awarded as well for the Coolest Feature.
