VW Turns it UP!

We’ll see a new VW concept at the Frankfurt Auto Show whose name might be in the running for the dumbest of all time.
VW has plans to go small and green by the end of the decade - well, in Europe at least.
Thefuelsreport.com and Edmuds.com report that VW’s newest concept, to be called the “UP!”, will be seen at the Frankfurt Auto Show. The new uber compact 3 cylinder gas sipper is expected to sell for a measly $8,275 and is “hoped” to be in European showrooms by the end of the decade.There’s no word yet on if it’ll make an appearance stateside.

Looks like the GTI’s baby brother.
It looks fine except for the front and back ends (I know they were trying to do something “different”, but why mess with success?) and the wheels. Seriously, those pie plates are butt-ugly.
Dood, I’d rock it. Except I would 1. Debadge it because of the dumb name, 2. Swap out the wheels, 3. Do something with the grill and the backend. Hmm, maybe I shouldn’t get it, cause the money I’d pour into it would negate its economy car status. lol
It’s one of those “I’ll reserve judgment until I see it” kinda things. My hope is that it’ll be the same size as a Yaris, but a helluva lot sturdier.
