The people at the Atlanta show said that the Tiguan, Jetta Sportwagen, and Jetta sedan are going to receive the TDI motor by the end of 2008 or early 2009. And the Passat will get the TDI in mid 2009 or early 2010. The Touareg is dropping the V10 TDI and will get a new V6 TDI sometime in the future - I imagine the Passat will get the same V6 TDI - which may not be too good, I'd prefer the up-coming 4-Cyl TDI that the Jetta and Tiguan.

I'd like to see the Rabbit get the TDI motor too. 7-Speed DSG or 6-Speed Manual in the Jettas, Tiguan, and Rabbit would be nice.

I would love to see that Jetta Sportwagen in a TDI if VW ever gets back on track with their US Diesels. Even better then 20/29 would be 40/50.

Heck yeah man! The pics are great. The show was fun, but VW's presence was pretty lame. If you have an auto expo coming to a location near you, I highly suggest you go.

It was nice to go from sitting in a nice & sturdy VW to a Toyota, whose frame and doors still feel way too light. One interesting note that surprised me - a Rabbit's estimated millage (20/29 I believe) is almost identical to that of a brand new Carolla. That's a nice selling point for VW.
