The little Beetle dude's name is Max. They've been teasing him and this campaign on the "Live Polling" feature on vw.com. Check out the official press release. He's a witty little dude.

Hadn’t seen those yet, but I did notice that little beetle on the vw.com home page recently. Last one is the best, for sure.
