Mark From what I hear and read Chevy Cruze and various veclhies from Mazda are supposed to be offering diesel in 2013. I would definitely like to see a widespread of veclhies offered in diesel but I’d also want to know the difference in real world cost of ownership between diesel veclhies requiring diesel exhaust fluid versus the real world fuel economy of gasoline veclhies caused by blending today’s gas with ethanol which can reduce fuel economy by up to 35%. Either way it costs more to drive than it ever did before. A Volkswagen with diesel costs $7000 more than the same car with the standard gasoline engine. As of current date only Volkswagen cars and Ram 3500 trucks combine diesel engines and manual transmissions together in the same veclhies. I’d also like to see more veclhies with real stick shifts but mid level veclhies with stick shift are harder to find than ever before also. August 11 2011 at 9:34 PM rate up rate down
