The masters of all things Automotive, Autoblog.com, have posted up photos and info of the upcoming 2009 Volkswagen GTI recently debuted at the Paris Autoshow.

Strangely enough, it might as well be the 2010 GTI we just posted photos about. I don’t see too much of a difference there, and I think that’s a good thing. Easy transition to the next generation, looks like. Head over to Autoblog.com to check it out!

  1. When I first saw the photos on VWVortex, I wasn’t too pleased with the new MkVI design. I didn’t like how the grill and headlights were stretched out, or the Touareg-style tailights. But the more I see it, the more it’s starting to grow on me.

The MkVI is starting to look a little slicker than what I originally thought, and all I have to say about the MkVI R32 is the following: “VWoA, please, bring over the 5-door R32, and bring back the 6-speed manual transmission!”

It’s going to take some getting used to, but I think the new MkVI won’t be half-bad.
