VW.com Makes Nice with the iPhone

Point your iPhone to vw.com for a nice treat.
Having a full browsing experience with the iPhone in your pocket is great (which is probably the understatement of the year), but with extremely content heavy or flash based sites it can still be a pain. Even on AT&T’s 3G network many sites can take a minute or two to load, and there is no support for Flash…so the browsing experience can yield some unexpected and frustrating results.
So anytime I run across an iPhone optimized site, I squeal in delight and clap like a little schoolgirl. So recently when I was on the run and attempting to call various dealers for a quote on some work for my wife’s Jetta (which has brought me a little pain recently) I was thrilled to see that VW had a mobile version of the site just for me. On the homepage there are three buttons for “Our Cars”, “Find A Dealer” and “Assistance” (which is really awesome).

Within a few taps I had numbers for all of the local dealers, and used my spare time to check out the Rabbit’s gallery. The experience is great, and gives me all the information I’d want on my phone. To check it out just go to vw.com on your iPhone…or you can click here to check it out in your browser.

Very nice! *Waiting for my iPhone someday so I can check it out* muahahahhah
YES!!!
I’m glad to see VW (finally) stepping up to the plate and giving us a non-Flash, pro-Mobile/iPhone version of the site.
*thumbs up*
Nice work VW…
Although, has anyone noticed that under Models, when you tap “Features” on Tiguan, it pulls up a photo of an Eos?
Haha…
