1. I have a 2001 VW Passat 1.8t . I just put had new valve put in and replaced the waterpump. When I started the car it started reving up and down and the catalyst converter got cherry red. What could be the cause of that? After a minute or so, it went away. I then let the engine cool down for 3 hrs., then i tried starting it again. The car reved up and down and the catalyst converter got hot again. There where no codes of any engine light coming up. Do you think i had damage the catalyst converter?

2. Dan,

   Any idea on how to remove and replace the driver’s side parking light bulb for the 2006 VW Passat? Seems impossible to remove the bulb socket. Not the best design.
