It started with a glance. The moment I saw the Volkswagen Mark IV GTI, I fell instantly in love. How its lines flow around the body forming a single, unified shape. How its stance is wide and stable (no “wide-hip syndrome” here!) Volkswagen’s new Mk IV generation of models had gained another fanboy. This was in 2000. Flash-forward five years, and my love for all things VW had grown to what some call an obsession, only to be surpassed by Volksbloggin.com writer Nik Stephens’ love of the Veedub. ;)

In October of 2005, I got the itch to do something new. The crew here at Volksbloggin.com work together at a web development firm in Cincinnati. And we all drive VWs. Hmmm. We work together. We drive dubs. We love our dubs. Bingo, Volksbloggin.com was born! We’ll create a site of reviews, opinions and rants on all things Volkswagen. (Well, Volkswagen of America for the time being) So the work began, and by April of 2006 Volksbloggin.com breathed its first breath of life.

As a honorary Volksbloggin.com reader, what will you find here? We hope to provide you with valuable insight into Volkswagen models, How Tos and tech help, new model information, and lots of other good stuff like that. And most of all, to foster a healthy atmosphere of community and discussion. Have fun!
